Transparency and fairness

The fees charged by JOBARD, CHEMLA & ASSOCIÉS are agreed upon individually with each client on the basis of a policy of complete transparence and trust.

In compliance with the criteria set forth by the Paris Bar Association, our fees take into account the following:

• the nature of the case, as well as its legal and factual complexity,
• the time spent studying and preparing the case,
• the reputation and seniority of the attorney(s) handling the case,
• the amount of the suit and/or the amount at stake in the case,
• the results obtained and/or the services rendered,
• the client’s economic and social situation. 

Our fees range between 180 - 320 € for Associates and 350 - 480 € for Partners.

Fee agreements

• A fee agreement is drawn up at the beginning of our involvement in the case. It is normally based on the time invested in dealing with the case, at hourly rates which vary between 200 and 450 Euros, depending upon the difficulty of the case as well as the skills and reputation of the attorneys handling the case.  The average hourly fee is around 300 euros. 
• Our law firm also offers its clients inclusive fees and, in certain types of cases, an agreement specifying a reduced hourly rate and a percentage of the money recovered or losses avoided.
• In addition, for certain types of cases, our firm offers annual “subscriptions,” the amount of which is adjusted at the end of each year according to the work actually carried out.
• Lastly, we can offer special rates for such things as company incorporations, holding annual general meetings, and providing assistance to new companies.

When a file is opened, a retainer may be requested, followed by monthly invoices detailing the services provided.

In addition, our invoices include expenses, outgoings and outlay incurred on behalf of the client, charged at cost price.

The number of attorneys involved in a matter is set so as to ensure that it is dealt with in the best possible fashion, in terms of timing as well as with regard to total fees.
