Transparency and fairness

The fees charged by JOBARD, CHEMLA & ASSOCIES are negotiated with each client on the basis of complete transparence and trust.

In compliance with the criteria laid down by the Paris Bar Association, our fees take into account:

• the time spent studying and preparing the case,
• the nature of the case, as well as its legal and factual complexity,
• the reputation and seniority of the attorney(s) handling the case,
• the amount of the suit and/or the amount at stake in the case,
• the results obtained and/or the services rendered,
• the client’s economic and social situation.

Fee agreements

• A fee agreement is drawn up at the beginning of our involvement in the case. It is normally based on the time invested in dealing with the case, at hourly rates (taxes excluded) which vary between 160 and 440 Euros, depending on the difficulty of the case, the skills and reputation of the attorneys handling the case.
• Our Firm also offers its clients inclusive fees and, in certain cases, an agreement specifying an adapted ourly rate and a percentage of the money recovered or losses avoided.
• For certain cases, our Firm offers annual “subscriptions,” the amount of which is adjusted at the end of each year according to the work actually carried out.
• We can offer special rates for services such as company incorporations, holding annual general meetings, and providing assistance to new companies.

We may give estimates of fees and we offer our clients several invoicing systems in order to take into account the circumstances of every case.

When a file is opened, a retainer may be requested, followed by monthly invoices detailing the services provided.

In addition, our invoices include expenses and outlay incurred on behalf of the client, charged at cost price.

The number of attorneys involved in a matter is set so as to ensure that it is dealt with in the best possible fashion, in terms of timing and with regard to total fees.
